Newport Paper and Book Arts Festival 2016

The Visual Arts Center (VAC) at Nye Beach, Festival headquarters 

It's time to save the weekend of April 22-24 for a great time playing with all kinds of paper projects in the beautiful coastal town of Newport, Oregon. This year's Newport Paper & Book Arts Festival promises to be one of the best ones ever with seven classes each day to choose from. Offering 12 one-day classes, 3 two-day classes, and 1 three-day class there is bound to be something to inspire every book and paper enthusiast. The official schedule with registration materials will be mailed out sometime in the next month, but we were able to get a sneak peek of the list of classes and instructors.

One-Day Classes:

  • Accordion in a Case with Moe Snyder
  • Make Your Mark (Long Stitch Journal, Sumi Ink) with Moe Snyder
  • Fishbone Fold Book with Connie Stricks
  • Paper from Mushrooms with David Summerlin
  • The Art & Craft of Collage with Arlene Warner
  • Paste Paper Evolution with Jackie Wygant
Two-Day Classes:

  • Indigo Dyeing & Books with Judilee Fitzhugh & Marilyn Zornado
  • Pocket Books with Margo Klass
  • The Amazing Dremmel with Jill Timm
Three-Day Class:

  • The Magical Book Box with Randi Parkhurst
